Character
We choose to use a shadow puppet from Chinese culture as the protagonist of our story. In traditional shadow puppetry performances, the shadow puppets are entirely controlled by sticks attached to their bodies, every movement dictated by the puppeteer. Additionally, these shadow puppets often have angular shapes, and their joints are not articulated in a natural way. These characteristics ironically highlight the unwillingness and helplessness of being controlled by external forces.
Environment
For the concept of the environment, we primarily considered both the overall layout and the specific perspectives. The overall environment is designed in a Chinese style to complement the background of the story's protagonist. Drawing inspiration from the layout styles of traditional Chinese gardens and palaces, we aim to create a classical atmosphere. In terms of specific perspectives, the third-person perspective is emphasized to depict the relationship between the characters and the environment at that time.
